Music Ministry
"Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth; sing the glory of God’s name, give to God glorious praise." Psalm 66: 1-2
The Music Ministry is an integral part of the worship and teaching at First United Methodist Church. The Bible is full of exhortations to worship God and encourage each other. That is why our overreaching goal for musical expression in the church is not merely to perform, but to praise God and build each worshipper up in Christian faith. We make music together in worship with the hope that our “sacrifice of praise” might become the congregational expression and offering to God. It is our desire that when this happens each of us might be moved to a greater appreciation of and love for Him.
Do you or a member of your family love to sing? Have you admired the beautiful bell pieces during worship and wished you could be a part of such a group? Would you like your child to have the opportunity to sing with other children or play chimes? First United Methodist Church of Orange has musical opportunities for all ages. We welcome you, or other family members, to join any of the groups below. All that is needed is a love of music and a desire to give glory to God through song. Join us!
